The REAL Reason My AC Wasn’t Working 🥵📦
I hate cold weather.
If you are ever invited to my home (unlikely, as nobody comes in our house except family), know this: If the temperature in Miami is below 65º, the heat will be ON 🥵.
I like it HOT.
At the same time, I live in Miami, Florida. We have a tropical climate. A 60º day is our “winter”.
So, I should be happy.
Except for one detail.
In my home office, I sit next to a big window, where for 80% of the year, the sun shines directly on me from 8 AM — 12:30 PM.
And I wear suits. So, even on “nice” 60-degree days, It’s HOT in my office.
Too hot.
So here I am, Mr. I-Like-It-Hot, turning on the air conditioner to cool off.
Last week, the AC wasn’t working.
It was maybe 73 degrees (or less). The sun was hitting me hard through my window. I turned the AC on, but it was still too hot.
So I turned the AC lower.
And lower.
I even had the thermostat under 70º, which NEVER happens in my home. If the AC is on 73, it’s an emergency.
STILL too hot.
Finally, after 2 ½ days of this nonsense, I went to the AC closet to find out the problem.
My idea was to shut off the AC unit, wait 30 seconds, then turn it back on. This resets the unit and…
