Tim Ferriss wrote “The 4-Hour Workweek,” one of the books that helped me on my entrepreneurial journey.

In fact, it was a set of instructions that Tim posted on his blog that I followed to the letter that helped me create and sell my first products, two $4.99 training programs for basketball players.

The premise of the “Four Hour Work Week” is that you can work a whole lot less, create a “lifestyle business,” and give yourself time freedom.

Spoiler Alert: There is no Four Hour Work Week.

Tim has a podcast. He releases ~3 hours worth of content every week. I listen. Based on the research Tim does to prepare the questions he asks, I’d estimate at least 1 ½ hours of prep work for every interview.

That’s already more than four hours.

Gary Keller has a book called “The One Thing.”

The premise of the book, just from reading the title, sells readers on the idea that if they understand the mythical “One Thing,” it will solve all their problems.

Here’s a secret: There is no “One Thing.”

Gary is the founder of Keller Williams, the largest real estate company in the world by number of agents.
