⚠️ Don’t Work Harder OR Smarter. Do This…
Work effectively.
Effective: successful in producing a desired or intended result.
Solving problems with hard work is the default behavior of average people.
“Work smarter” is what default-hard-workers say… while they haven’t gotten any smarter, and continue to fail with the same hard work that doesn’t produce results.
You don’t need hard work or smart work.
You need to do work that produces results.
The median U.S. income is $45,470. That’s what hard work is worth. The payoff for hard work is average results.
You don’t need to be smart to be effective. Have you ever seen someone significantly less intelligent than you produce more results than you?
You don’t need to be the brains behind what works. You just need to be capable of following directions from someone who knows how to produce the result you want.
I invest $30,000 into coaching programs and $3,500 into event tickets. It’s not to get smarter (although that will happen). I do it to buy time.
How?
The people I pay, they know how to reach an outcome faster than I know how to reach it. So I pay for speed — the time I save by learning to do things their way instead of doing it my way.
I’m a smart guy and I work hard. If I do things on my own, I can figure out what they know in 3–5 years.
